Hey People!
We are already into 11th day of January, and why wait for 355 more days to reflect?
Let’s do them right now, because, har ghadi, antim ghadi (every moment is the last one)…
So, here you go, the top 10 lessons from the first ten days of 2021:
Old habits:
They go when you replace them with new habits + create systems around executing them.New habits:
Goals may or may not work out. Daily habits always do. Always. It is a great competitive advantage to be kind and polite with that one person in your office who is playing against you, does not take responsibility for their own errors, and is the first one to play games in the team. If you learn to be kind to them for real - understanding that they are suffering (no matter how lavish they appear on the outside), and that suffering causes them to play with others.
Always remember this ONE thing: NO ONE who is fulfilled from within, hurts others. Only hurt people hurt people. Playing revenge on mean people is becoming a photocopy of the one you despise the most. Why would you want to do that?Be the bigger person:
This automatically separates you from 95% of the majority.Tit for tat never solves:
Yes you were hurt, badly.
Yes you were hurt, intentionally.
Yes you were hurt, repeatedly.
But the old saying never gets old: “An eye for an eye will make the world blind.” This is precisely the reason why we are unable to see the solution right in front of us, because our eyes are clouded with the wrong someone else did.A community that lifts you up:
I am a fan of reading and watching inspirational videos. However, if you spend even one hour with a community with like minded interests talking about these things, your knowledge and motivation will have no bounds. How to find ‘em? On this thing called the Internet :)No words strategy:
Sometimes being a dumb person with a smart one is one of the smartest thing to do.When you feel outrageous on the other person:
You are perhaps right. They are extracting the energy out of you.
Shaant ho jao. Chill. If you have to talk, stay quiet for a few hours and then do.
You will make yourself proud for the rest of your life.Make your words empowering:
If people are using disempowering words, remember that at one point of time we were also there. Or worse, we could be in their place. Be glad that you aren’t.Evening:
An evening walk for 25 - 45 minutes a day (over and above the morning walk) is one of the biggest miracles of better mood, more mobility and more energy in the rest part of the day. Get addicted to it once and you shall forever be addicted to it.
Don’t you think so?
If you liked these, why not share it around?
Bonus Point:
On rarest of rare days when I have not worked out in the morning (5-10 days a year), I wear my tights and sweatshirt after bath, so that this clothing is a reminder of me getting my workout done before lunch.
In winters, those tights make you feel cold, and it is jeans that is the real thick clothing. So people, please get your workout done first thing in the morning, otherwise you’ll keep trembling for hours :)
If you liked these pointers, would you help spread the word by getting yourself: “This is What YOU Are Looking for” - small two-page chapters for a happier life?
Thank you so sooo much for the support and shares you all have been pouring in, week after week! I keep promising to helping you see a different perspective.
Until this Thursday, keep rocking, stay quiet, and keep learning :)
Lol
