When was the last time you did something for the first time?
To know what all you are capable of...
Hey People!
I did something for the first time quite recently: made my website from scratch.
Actually something is planned out in the coming days, and I was looking for a website developer. A friend suggested a wonderful website developer, however, they do really high level professional work and what I needed was the basics. So their budget couldn’t fit mine.
Also, being a creative professional I know how hard we have worked to get to this place of quoting this price, so what’s the point of asking someone to reduce their price? It’s disrespect to them and disrespect to every artist. So I refrained from doing that.
That day, while lying in bed for taking my power nap, I had this sudden realisation: I had already made a one-page website on Wix as a trial, so why not make multiple-page one as well?
That started the process, and took me almost three weeks to complete it. Still 2-3 pages are to be added, but the website is complete in itself.
Felt good.
Felt grateful.
And also felt like a human being for not asking another one to reduce their rates :)
You may see it here. Any feedback is welcome. Haters will be ignored and blocked, however, open to receiving constructive feedback :)
Btw, I don’t know if I will be making the next big version of this website myself - purely because of time constraints and lack of expertise. But when you do something once, you gain a confidence of self-growth. And that’s powerful!
Isn’t it?
When was the last time you did something for the first time? I’d love to know.
Could be small thing like cleaning up the kitchen slab or could be a bigger one such as saying “I love you” to your parents in years. The first-times are amazing reflections to what unfolds next. Let me know in the comments/reply to this email.
Till Monday, keep rocking and keep shattering the limits
Stop Fitting In!
Cya then
